Who We Are

We strive to maximize returns for our clients by changing the ways organizations manage their decommissioned electronics equipment.

Computer Systems Asset Disposal, LLC (CSAD) is an IT asset disposition company based out of Rochester, New York.

We work every day to provide the greatest value to our clients by primarily aligning ourselves as electronics refurbishers, not recyclers. After we refurbish our clients’ decommissioned electronics equipment, we resell it primarily through retail channels. This allows us to provide our clients with significantly higher payouts for their used equipment compared to what they would receive from traditional e-waste recycling companies, which generally only pay on a pennies on the pound model.

We currently work with over 600 different clients from a multitude of different industry backgrounds and are continuously expanding our service capabilities to exceed the needs of our growing client-base.

Our Story

Founded in 2012, CSAD commenced its operations when it identified an opportunity to provide an enhanced return to organizations that needed to dispose of their decommissioned electronics equipment. After extensive research, CSAD identified that most business were just recycling their decommissioned electronics equipment, instead of having this equipment refurbished and resold. CSAD developed a model that would share a significant portion of its net profit from the sales of refurbished equipment from the sources of such equipment. The reselling of refurbished equipment as opposed to just recycling such equipment was the basis for the formation of CSAD. Starting originally as a small company of three employees working with local organizations in the immediate Rochester, NY area, our company has grown significantly in both size and reach, and now serves over 600 organizations, primarily throughout the Northeast, Mid- Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States.

Bringing a new approach to IT Asset Disposition

Unlike traditional electronics recycling companies, CSAD focuses on maximizing returns from decommissioned electronics for our clients through the repair and refurbishment of electronics equipment. This method of “upcycling” empowers us to reward our clients with significantly higher payouts for their decommissioned electronics equipment. Using our primary compensation method where we pay our clients a Percentage of Net Profit, we pay our clients on average 20 to 100 times more for their decommissioned electronics equipment than they would otherwise receive using traditional electronics recycling methods.

Upcycling their decommissioned electronics equipment allows our clients to have the peace of mind that their equipment is being reused or recycled properly and allows clients to turn what was previously believed to be scrapped equipment into an additional revenue source.
