  • We provide our customers with end-to-end solutions for their decommissioned electronics equipment from pickup to resale or recycling. Our service offerings include:

    • Electronics Pickup & Logistics - We utilize our dedicated fleet of drivers and trucks to provide safe and secure transport of your equipment.

    • Secure Data Destruction – We are NAID AAA Certified in both Data Erasure and Data Destruction services.

    • Asset Value Recovery – Our customers choose us because we resell their equipment wherever possible, providing them with significantly higher payouts than our competitors.

    • Electronics Recycling - We are partnered with R2/RIOS certified recyclers and commodity metals recyclers ensuring all electronic waste is properly recycled.

    • Asset Tracking and Reporting – We provide customers with 24 hour access to our cloud-based inventory management portal as well as customized reporting on equipment received and devices resold.

  • After receiving equipment from customers, our sorting team inventories each piece of equipment and sorts based on device type. Our data sanitization team then wipes or destroys devices using our NAID AAA certified data erasure software complying with both NIST 800-88 Standards and Department of Defense standards. Devices intended for resale are then tested and refurbished by our Engineering department before being listed and sold on our various e-commerce and wholesale sales channels. Devices unable to be wiped or specifically requested for destruction are physically destroyed using our in-house Ameri-shred AMS-500HD Series 2 Hard Drive Shredder which is compliant with our NAID AAA Data Destruction Certification.

  • As a NAID AAA Certified organization, CSAD adheres to the highest standards of data security and performs a multi-level wipe and verification on every device containing data that enters our facility. Upon request, we can also provide our Data Sanitization and Destruction Process documentation which provides a walkthrough of our procedures to effectively wipe and destroy devices containing personal data.

  • We are NAID AAA Certified in Data Destruction and Data Overwriting and are partnered with organizations holding active R2/RIOS and ISO 14001 for our electronics equipment destined for recycling.

  • No - We provide our customers with electronics pickup and recycling services free of charge! For customers recycling equipment with a high resale value, we will go a step further and actually pay you a percentage of the proceeds from the resale of your equipment.

    However, if a large amount of any pickup contains CRT glass, Tube TVs or fluorescent bulbs, customers may incur a charge to safely recycle these materials through the appropriate channels.

  • We accept almost all computer electronics and computer peripherals. Click Here for a complete list of accepted and prohibited items.

  • CSAD will not accept the following items:

    • Large home appliances (including air conditioners, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, etc.)

    • Hazardous waste (including roofing tars, adhesives, jointing compounds, solvents, glazing compounds, industrial or two-part paints, cleaners, etc.)

    • Bulbs (including standard light bulbs and CFL tubes)

  • Ideally, devices should be in working condition, however, we accept both working and non-working devices. If a significant portion of devices are expected to be non-functional, a pickup fee may be assessed if expenses cannot be recovered through resale of functional equipment.

  • Organizations looking to recycle large quantities of equipment are eligible to enter our Profit Sharing initiative which pays customers a percentage of the net profit earned from the resale of equipment. If you are a smaller company or have equipment you believe to be of higher value, please reach out to our team describing the quantity and type of equipment you are looking to recycle and somebody from our team will get in contact with you.

  • We primarily work with larger organizations looking to recycle large quantities of equipment at one time. We do work with a number of local smaller organizations and individuals as well. If you are interested in working with us, please reach out to our team!

  • Yes – provided equipment falls into one of the accepted equipment category types

  • Our in-house box trucks are capable of transporting up to 30 pallets of equipment per load. For comparison, 30 pallets roughly translates to either 10,000 laptops, 111,000 iPads or 1,300 desktops.

  • No – However, depending on the distance between your pickup location and our warehouse in Rochester, NY, we may arrange for secure freight transportation through our third party provider network which is provided free of charge to you.

    Under ideal conditions, pickup locations should be equip with a loading dock where pallet/gaylord storage of device can be easily loaded.

  • Yes – we work with a large number of wholesalers who purchase equipment in bulk from us regularly.
