Electronics Recycling

Coupled with our ability to refurbish and resell our clients’ decommissioned electronics equipment, we maintain strong partnerships with downstream R2/RIOS certified recycling organizations and commodity metals recyclers allowing us to recycle virtually all equipment we obtain from customers that is deemed broken or no longer saleable. We follow strict guidelines set by our downstream recycling partners to ensure all equipment destined for recycling is properly sorted and ready for pickup.

Although we may identify electronics destined for recycling through our entire process lifecycle, the physical act of separating materials into the appropriate recycling categories occurs within two distinct teams:

  1. Sorting

At the onset of our equipment processing, our sorting team members act as the “gatekeepers” of all equipment that passes through our facility. Our experienced sorting team is able to accurately and efficiently identify broken or no longer saleable equipment and properly sort the equipment into the appropriate recycling categories required by our downstream recycling partners.

  2. Hardware Dismantling

After passing through all other departments, some equipment is determined to be broken or no longer saleable through our normal methods. In these situations, our hardware dismantling team works to separate and salvage electronics components for recycling or reuse. All component items obtained from dismantling are either reused to fix other equipment provided by our clients or recycled using the appropriate downstream recycling channels.
